TUBER INFORMATION
Tubers come in all shapes and sizes, some are ugly, twisted, or small. This does not affect their viability. All tubers have been carefully inspected for viable eyes. Tubers are sold individually.
Smaller tubers produce feeder roots quickly and encourage faster plant growth. Larger tubers are likely to feed off their own starchy bulk and take longer to begin plant growth. Knicks, cuts, peeling or missing skin, broken tuber bodies, holes, or skinny necks will not inhibit plant growth. Some crown, an eye, and a portion of tuber body are all that is needed for a beautiful plant. Most tubers are not beautiful; the plants and blooms they produce are.
We guarantee that tubers will be true to name. A wide variety of color and bloom quality can occur within different weather situations, so we do ask you to provide clear, quality pictures of blooms with foliage on the plant as documentation for us to consider in a replacement or refund request. If you believe you have a mislabeled tuber, you must contact us and provide quality pictures no later than October 1st of the current growing season.
We are selling a tuber with crown material and a viable eye. A sprout grows from an eye. The absence of a sprout or a sprout breaking off the eye does not make a tuber unviable.
If you believe the tuber has gall, receive a tuber that has rotted in transit, or believe a tuber has no eye, you must contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order and before you place the tuber in any soil/growing medium or storage. Planting, potting for sprouting, or placing a tuber into storage between the receipt of your order and the conclusion of 48 hours concludes our mutual business transaction. We apologize to the majority of customers for a minority making this policy necessary.
Very clear, multiple closeup pictures of the crown (the entire circumference of the crown), the tuber body and our handwritten name on the tuber will be required for an inquiry within 48 hours of receiving an order. Insistence that unclear and/or inadequate pictures are clear and/or adequate will be disregarded and the inquiry set aside, marking the conclusion of our mutual transaction.
We take great pains to send tubers with at least one viable eye. If you believe your tuber or tubers do not have a viable eye, you must return the tuber or tubers by mail at your expense for a refund or replacement no later than a week from the date of the contact made within 48 hours of receiving the order. The decision to refund or replace will be at our discretion. Refunds will be minus a 20 percent restocking fee. Tubers lost, destroyed or rendered unviable by return shipping will not be refunded or replaced.
Upon receiving a tuber with crown material and at least one viable eye, the passing of 48 hours marks the tuber as yours and you accept responsibility for storage and/or potting for sprouting, and/or your specific growing/pest and management conditions.
